In the process of downsizing the BASF office because working from home became encouraged, the philosophy of the office setup has been entirely reinvented: A modern workplace without designated private offices and no allocated desks. In return, a large number of phone and focus rooms as well as large quantities of alternative work environments offer the right environment for any given task.


Employee surveys prior and after the construction demonstrated that the workplace satisfaction has improved significantly by the taken measures.
